Although the game doesn't use any actual dice rolls or math during gameplay, Winds of Tollanara uses a points system for the purposes of character building.
Each player is granted five points to be spent on character traits in order to build their character's personality.
Two racial traits (from the racial list here) are allotted for free.
If you have ideas for traits that are not listed, please include them (be as detailed as possible) on your application and the mod will most likely approve them for use!
GENERAL POINTS
*Alchemy
*Animal Companion (2 points) - must be an animal size Medium or smaller, and must be a creature your character has encountered in Tollanara (if you're not sure if a certain creature is available to be an animal companion, ask! Use your best judgment about creatures in a high fantasy setting)
*Animal Affinity
*Aspect of Beast (one point per aspect)
*Beast Shape (one point per shape)
*Burglar
*Charm With Music
*Far Sight
*Foresight
*Herbalism
*Hide In Plain Sight
*Innate Spell
*Intimidation
*Iron Stomach
*Linguist (one point per language)
*Magic Resistance

*Sacred Bond (2 points) - can commune with your deity once per day and ask for a favour/boon/information, etc.

SPELLCASTING
A Spellcaster can master certain types of magic. Each type costs four points. If your character is over 50 years old (or 100 if they have drow/dwarf/elf/tiefling blood) they can have mastery over two types of magic.
*Blood Magic
*Curses
*Elemental Magic (one of Air, Earth, Fire, Water, Metal, Ice, Lightning, Plant)
*Enchantments
*Healing Magic
*Shapeshifting (four shapes- human or animal- your character has seen before, size Large or smaller, one shift per period of activity. Four additional shapes are granted if the character is over 50 years old (100 for drow/dwarf/elf/tiefling))
